Researchers from Germany and beyond are honing a set of advanced planning tools that not only provide high-resolution color-coded 3D visualization of the liver parenchyma and vasculature, but offer quantitative views of the intrahepatic vessel branching system and the risks of cutting at a given point in the organ.
