Bremen, September 25, 2014 - MeVis Medical Solutions AG [ISIN: DE000A0LBFE4], a leading provider of medical imaging software, announces that it has entered into a collaborative software development agreement with its largest customer Hologic, Inc., a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of premium diagnostic products, medical imaging systems and surgical products. The agreement relates to the development of software applications for certain of  Hologic's mammography products.

This is the second contract between MeVis and Hologic in 2014. Earlier this year MeVis announced that the parties had agreed to extend the previous software licensing agreement through the end of 2015 with amended terms. The current licensing and maintenance business with Hologic is expected to gradually be converted to one of development support.

"We are pleased to be entering into a new collaboration with our long-standing customer Hologic. We believe this agreement validates our reputation and excellent market position of MeVis Medical Solutions AG in the area of product software used for breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment. With over 10,000 licenses sold worldwide in the areas of mammography, tomosynthesis, breast MR, intervention and breast ultrasound diagnosis, MeVis is the global market leader and we are keen to further expand our position." said Marcus Kirchhoff, CEO of MeVis Medical Solutions AG.

"The agreement now, in connection with the extension of the existing license agreement until the end of 2015 already signed in February, increases our visibility on future revenues." added Dr. Robert Hannemann, CFO of MeVis Medical Solutions AG. "Our commercial expectations published in January 2014 could be fully met by the new contract."
